Is Combo Ghorepani Poon hill trekking suitable for me?
Trekking to Ghorepani Poon hill loop in Annapurna is obviously for all with fair fitness level. How do we get to combo Poon hill trekking?
we drive to Pokhara and then to Nayapul to start the trek. We can fly to Pokhara too from Kathmandu instead of driving. Then we trek for multiple days up and down the trail towards the Poon hill amidst the marvelous mountains.
How fit do I need to be to trek to Ghorepani Poon hill ?
Fitness is the key requirement to trek to the Annapurna region as it involves walking up and down the mountains and goes pretty high in altitude. You definitely have to be in normal physical fitness along with strong mental toughness.
Do I need to do any special training to trek to Annapurna?
Although you need a good level of physical fitness to be able to trek to Ghorepani, you do not need to take any special training. However, a regular preparation for at least one month before the trek starts is highly advisable. You can go for regular jogging, short hiking trips – up and down the hill if possible, cardio workout and workout on improving overall fitness.
How many hours do I need to walk on the trek?
You can expect to walk six hours on average every day during the trek however the trek duration is completely dependent on your pace of walking.
Will there be any rest day along the trail as we trek?

What kind of trail do I have to walk?
As trekking in Nepal is all about traversing up and down the mountain more a less, you will have to walk the trail that goes up and down all the way through. Even the trek that is graded as ‘easy trek’ might feel difficult for some trekkers because of the winding trails up and down the mountains though this trek done by normal hiker so that it is not a problem. What is the chance of me getting the altitude sickness?
This trek doesn’t goes to more then 3210 meter so that not problem if we go continuous more then 3000 meter might be chance altitude sickness we are not going that much high so that not problem for altitude sickness.
What if I get sick up in the mountains?
Getting sick up in the mountains during the trek is certainly not a good thing to happen to anyone. But it happens sometimes and it is good to come prepared to face any situation while doing this adventure trip. If you, unfortunately, get sick up in the mountains, our guide and the team will take the best care of you and take the most appropriate step for your safety. Those steps might include from denying you the further journey up to rescue you by helicopter. But before taking these big and last steps ahead when there are no other alternatives left, your situation will be carefully observed and the best possible will be done to make you able to continue on the journey.
It is always advisable to come prepared for any situation because the high altitude is too unpredictable.
What kind of foods can we get in the mountains?
Although there may not be as many choices of foods in the mountains as in Kathmandu, you will get a food menu with some varieties of foods. However, the famous Nepali dish, Dal Bhat, fills
your plate for most of the time and other times you can have food of your choice from the choices available in the menu.
How safe is drinking water up in the mountain?
When you are trekking in the mountain, there are three different options for drinking water. First, you can buy bottled water that is safe to drink although price gets more expensive as you trek higher. The second option is to ask the lodge you stay to fill your bottle with boiled water, which might cost you some money. And the third option is to buy water purifying tablets or rod and take it along with your on the trek. You can fill tap water along the trail and you can use the water purifying tablet or rod to turn it into safe drinking water that is the cheapest of all.
