Nagarjuna hike takes place in the Shivapuri National park in Kathmandu. The uphill hike of about three hours takes you to the top of the Nagarjun hill which is known as Jamacho for a breathtaking view of Kathmandu valley and the Himalayan range. The hiking takes place in a forested hill thus provides a good chance of bird watching. Different species of birds can be spotted during the hike up and downhill.
The hiking starts from the base of Nagarjuna hill after a twenty minutes’ drive from Kathmandu. It is a nice five to six hours consuming day hiking tour around Kathmandu valley.
